The Government Would Fulfill Every Promise It Has Made-George Ayisi Assures Ghanaians

The Director of Communications at the National Disaster Management Organization, Mr George Ayisi, has reiterated that government intends to honor every promise it has made to Ghanaians before the end of the second term of this administration.

Mr George Ayisi made this profound statement when he appeared on the Newday show on TV3 today, February 21, 2022, when he appeared on the show together with the Deputy National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Edem Agbana, to discuss some topical matters including the infamous promise by the government to introduce a National Rental Assistance Scheme to assist Ghanaians.

The issue had already been raised on the show by Johnnie Hughes during the “Johnniesbite” segment of the show and he accused the government of failing to honor that promise so far.

The issue was further discussed on the “Big Issue” segment of the show during which Edem Agbana further reiterated that the promise to introduce the National Rental Assistance Scheme was only a ploy to deceive Ghanaians for votes.

“It is not true that the government made this promise just to amass votes. We all know Covid19 had affected some policies of government but it does not mean we have given up. As I speak to you, consultations are ongoing with respect to it and even the Students Loan Scheme we promised. Government intends to implement every policy it has promised Ghanaians. We are just one year and three weeks into our second term so just wait and see” he reiterated.

The National Rental Assistance Scheme if implemented would go a long way to assuage the rent challenges in the country faced by the youth.
