Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress has been in the news lately. He has been on many media networks granting interviews and explaining issues relating to dumsor, Parliament and wrangling in his party. This afternoon, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, he joined Osei Bonsu on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’.
He discussed a number of issues pertaining to the country. one of the interesting questions posed to him was who is likely to succeed John Mahama when he exits. He used the opportunity to send notice to Metro TV’s Adom Otchere over some analysis he makes concerning the party. According to Asiedu Nketia, the analysis does not have proof and just a mere plot to bring the NDC down.
“I have been hearing of some analysis from Paul Adom Otchere. Sorry for mentioning his name but I have to say it. His analysis are only to sow seeds of discord with the NDC. That analysis doesn’t work. There is a careful attempt to bring down some personalities in the party. Did you hear the name of Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang in his analysis? His analysis is like village lottery. The analysis lack depth. He only seeks to hit party member s against others.
NDC is not run on the basis of lotto forecasting on Metro TV. We have our own rules and we will generate our own candidate. I am sending notice to him that his analysis lack depth and will not work against the NDC. He cannot pit NDC personalities against one another. It will not work” Asiedu Nketia said.
Many have hit out at Paul for some of his comments as most go against the NDC. Many say he is Pro NPP. He has on the other end said he is just doing his job. What do you make of Asiedu Nketia’s comments?
