Education Minister Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum became very emotional as he explained that he accepted President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo's appointment as Minister because he wanted to serve his motherland Ghana. This explanation was made at the back of some unseen faces pulling strings so hard to bring him down within the NPP.
In a press briefing, Dr. Yaw Adutwum explained that he was taking annual salary of 300,000 United States dollars as compared to his 1.2 million Ghana cedis annual salary at the Ministry of Education.
" I did not heed to the call of the President to come and take 1.2 million Ghana cedis. My base pay was 300,000 Dollars a year. I left it to come to Ghana to take 1.2 million. Even that 1.2 million is here at the Ministry of Education" Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum emotionally explained.
You can click on the link below to watch him speak. Indeed, this man is having Ghana at heart. He sacrificed his fat salary in America to help make our Education better.
