The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his family on Saturday, 9th October 2021 gave their daughter, Edwina Akufo-Addo hand in marriage. She got married to Kwabena Jumah, son of the Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah.
This marriage ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa at Jubilee House. This propelled the NDC activist, Yayra Koku to 'attack' President Akufo-Addo that the seat of the nation's presidency has now been turned into place use for the celebration of engagements and weddings. Meanwhile, the main reason why the Jubilee House was put up is to holds presidential meetings.
What Yayra Koku is trying to say is that President Akufo-Addo and his family should have organized the marriage ceremony in a place other than the Jubilee House. This statement from Yayra Koku has angered a Ghanaian blogger known on Instagram as Itellmymind.
He reacted to Yayra Koku criticism in Twi Language saying "Yɛte Ghana ha yi aaa ɛnana Yaanom ɛde flagstaff house ɛyɛ parties akɛseɛ ma slay Queens. At least this one comes with some sort of dignity. Monkɔda na monni hwee ka".
What this blogger is saying is that during the era of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in government, they even hold parties in Flag Staff house. According to him, he even saw some slay queens at this party.
