They Will Lose In 2024 Because Of Their Actions – Prof Amakye Boateng Reveals On UTV.

The 2022 general elections is over but the results have not been accepted by all. The opposition NDC have raised questions about the validity of the elections. According to their claims, the election results were flawed to favor the incumbent government. The NDC are expected to go to the Supreme Court for redress latest by tomorrow.

Today, December 29, 2020 on UTV’s Midday News, the host, Akosua Sarpong in an interview with Prof. Amakye Boateng asked if the NDC are capable of getting sympathy votes and win the next elections. According to the host, the NPP lost the 2012 elections and managed to win big in 2016. She asked if the NDC can do same.

Prof. Boateng was however pessimistic of the chances of the NDC in recapturing power in 2024;

“Their actions have not been appropriate. Some of their actions include incurring the wrath of the security services by falsely accusing more than half of them as being used by the ruling government. All this information is in the general public and being spread by the NDC. The NDC led by John Mahama have made several allegations and gone on some violent demonstrations.

These actions will not garner sympathy votes. The party has to reignite itself. I see the NDC losing the 2014 because of their actions. Inside the party itself they do not have sympathy votes. Their utterances have been inappropriate. As far as am concerned they will lose in 2024” the KNUST lecturer explained.
