I don't know why opposition parties see the problem of Ghana as a mere thing. When a party goes into opposition, that party will solve all the problem of the country with sweet talks and the likes but the moment Ghanaians give the power of their thumb to them, then they forget the solutions they were providing when in opposition. I guess I don't have to cite an example because me and you have been witnessing since we were born into a country called Ghana. Have time to read and share your views as you read the views of other Ghanaians as the Finance Minister made this comment at UPSA.
Ken Ofori Atta yesterday made some revelations yesterday and have left Ghanaians talking. According to our Finance Minister, the government has not been employing the youth recently because the payroll is full. He revealed that 60% of the country's revenue is being used to pay some 65,000 employees and this has left the country unsustainable so it will be a disaster for the country if more people get employed.
He further encouraged the graduates to try as much as possible to create their own jobs and employ people because they have been trained to become entrepreneurs by the school. He further assured that the next budget of the country will create a conducive environment for the youth to become entrepreneurs.
Ghanaians have been talking since the Finance Minister made this known. Some citizens have been saying the government is able to employ family members knowing the payroll of the country is full. Some too have stated that the age of retirement should be effective so that old men will leave office for the youth to take over. One of the commentary stated that Ghanaians have to apologise to the former president, John Dramani Mahama for not giving him another chance to prove himself.
Read some comments beneath.
What's your thoughts on this, do you also think the former president would have done better if he was given the chance? Drop your views and follow up for more updates.
