The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has issued a statement condemning the mayhem that occurred at the Parliament House of Ghana during the election the Speaker of the house. According to the Association, it finds the situation worrying, that some elected members of parliament would engage in such misconduct.
The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) again called on Honourable Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak (MP for Asawase) to establish evidence or facts to his bribery allegation, leveled against one of the Supreme Court Judges. The claim that, one of the Supreme Court Judges had made many promises to one of the NDC MPs, if only she will vote for the NPP’s nominee for the Speakership, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye. The Association condemned Honourable Muntaka’s allegations and has called on him to provide prove or draw back his allegation.
According to the GBA, Honourable Mohammed Muntaka’s allegation is totally unacceptable and has asked him to prove his claim or withdraw, and apologize to the Judges of the Supreme.
