1st & 2nd Ladies Allowance : Lawyer Kwame Adofo Suggests It Should Be Backed By Law

Looking at this, Kwame Adofo says it looks like what everyone is suggesting is the same even though everyone has his understanding of the issue yet they land at the same point.

From this point of view, Fosani's explanation which he understood from a different point of angle has let Kwame Adofo understand that in this world in what way does he think that first and second lady allowance should be backed by law.

To his hearing, Fosani says there is nothing with the budget allocation he thinks if they want to increase the allowance they can raise the allowance of the first and second lady but the problem is that putting it in Article 71 officeholder is illegal.

There should be a law that the first and second lady who is currently on the sit allowance should be known like this in this category and the first and second lady who is currently not in power should go home with allowance in this category and this should be written in the law. Office of the President budgetary allocation has a convention on it not that it's from their heart to share money to the first and second lady and also allowance is sent to their spouses.

According to Kwame Adofo, the first and second lady monthly payments salary should be backed by law so that when they are no more in power and another government comes to power who's first and second lady is supposed to be paid monthly but they do not get paid it will cause a misunderstanding which will affect the country. This decision has, however, been challenged by the Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The NDC youth contend that the attempt to institutionalize payment of salaries to Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Mrs. Samira Bawumia is an affront to the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
