[VIDEO]: 'Why Are Ghanaians Worrying Themselves Over LGBTQI+ Bill' - Bernard Oduro Nyarko

The communication team member for New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Oduro Nyarko said, why are Ghanaians worrying themselves over the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex bill (LGBTQI+ bill) as the 1992 constitution already criminalizes the act.

Samuel Oduro Nyarko said, the 1992 constitution in section 104 (1)(b) states that, the law criminalizes “unnatural carnal knowledge” of which the authorities interpret as penile penetration of anything other than a vagina.

This means, the law about anti-gay bill was in existence long ago but Samuel Oduro Nyarko said, he doesn't understand why the Ningo prampram Member of Parliament, Sam George and his colleague legislators made and sent the bill to parliament to pass it.

And also, he does not understand why his fellow Ghanaians are worrying themselves over the LGBTQI+ bill as they are reacting and demonstrating against it.

He disclosed this in an interview on united television (UTV).
