NDC former member of parliament, Felix Fosu kwakye has said that the works of the first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo are to be applauded but they are not unique or unprecedented. Many First Ladies have made contributions in similar vein while their husbands remained in or out of office.
However, according to Felix Fosu Kwakye, for the first use the Ministry of Information portal or platform to highlight Mrs Akufo-Addo’s works as part of a PR blitz to sanitise her image after coming under public criticism over the Presidential spousal salary matter, is simply propaganda of the cheapest kind and smacks off abuse of office.
Her foundation according to Felix has social media handles that can be used for that purpose. Those who govern must respect the people they govern.
This assertion of the member of parliament comes after the first lady angrily refunded all the money paid to her since she became Ghana's first lady.
