Being the vice president of Ghana comes with several responsibilities. The vice president heads the economic management team and makes sure that the country's economy is always favorable for investment.
In today's article, let us look at seven(7) potential vice presidents for 2024.
Alan Kyeremanteng, popularly known as Alan Cash is likely to become the next vice president of Ghana. There are however hopes that he may become the flag bearer of the NPP in 2024. However, some have urged him to vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
#2. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempah
He is the current Minister for Energy. There are hopes that he may vice one of the flag bearer hopefuls in the NPP.
#3. Dr. Kwabena Duffour
He is a strong member of the NDC. He has some ambitions of becoming the president of Ghana. However, he is likely to become the vice president if the need arises. NDC members have high hopes in bringing John Mahama as their flag bearer. He is likely to vice John Mahama if Jane Naana is not selected again.
#4. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang
There is no doubt about this name. She is the current running mate for John Mahama. She is potential to be the next vice president of Ghana.
#5. Kennedy Agyapong
Kennedy Agyapong has given a very massive support to Alan Kyeremanteng. There is a high probability that Kennedy Agyapong may become the running mate of Alan Kyeremanteng if he becomes the flag bearer of the NPP. Kennedy Agyapong also has plans of becoming the flag bearer himself.
#6. Haruna Iddrisu
He is the current minority leader in Parliament. Haruna Iddrisu has given a very strong support for John Mahama. He is one of the longest serving MPs in parliament and has the experience. John Mahama may let him vice him for 2024.
#7. Ursula Owusu
She is the current Minister for Communications. She may be the first female vice president in Ghana. She is therefore potential to vice a flag bearer due to her hard work for the party.
