In an investigative piece by Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Prof Boateng was implicated for aiding party members to engage in illegal mining, an allegation he has vehemently denied.

He was accused of collaborating with a former NPP Central Regional Chairman, Ekow Awusi, to sell off ceased excavators to party members.

ProfFrimpong Boateng expressing his views on Ghana and how he’s been unfairly treated as minister in-charge of fighting illegal mining (galamsey) in a yet-to-be-aired ‘KSM show’ said “It’s not worth sacrificing for Ghana.

In view of the charges,the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has therefore called for his arrest and subsequent incarceration.
