The Savannah regional designate Jibril Muhazu Saeed during his vetting vows to stop rosewood harvesting in the region when approved as the Savannah regional minister of the republic of Ghana.
Addressing a comment by Hon. Muntaka, concerning a rosewood factory in Yipala a suburb village to Damongo in the West Gonja district of the Savannah region of Ghana, Mr Jubril denied any knowledge about the said factory.
On another question of the interventions Mr Muhazu will put in place to ensure that, the youth goes back to tilting the land, Mr Saeed said, he is going to make agriculture attractive and a business adventure and not a subsistence adventure but this will be worked upon after the fight against the rosewood harvesting in the region is achieved.
And when this initiative is about to take effect, we will collaborate with the ministry of land and natural resources of which we are already aware that there is fine and ban for any person found guilty of harvesting rosewood in the country therefore it is just about enforcing the rule when approved by this committee.
