The Speaker of Ghana's parliament Rt. Hon. Alban S.K. Bagbin in a meeting with the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana Philip Stalder on Thursday 10th June 2021 has stated his commitment to the diplomatic relationship with the Swiss government. In a statement on the official Facebook page of Parliament, Hon. Bagbin believes that the time has reached for both countries to exchange expertise in statecraft and governance.
"The time is ripe for Ghana and Switzerland to transition its diplomatic ties to a level that will guarantee exchange of expertise in Statecraft and governance", the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Alban S K Bagbin has said.
He also talked about how Ghana as a country could learn from the Swiss and improve upon diplomatic credentials hence sparking massive development.
As a budding democracy, he noted that there was a lot for Ghana to learn from the Swiss to help deepen our diplomatic credentials and deliver the needed development to the people. He said.
Furthermore, the Speaker talked about how Ghana is making significant strides in advancing its governance to address the core needs of the people.
Speaker Bagbin said, that effort, was an important feat that will add up to the country's already attained fest in advancing democracy in Africa.
