Being the First Gentleman of the land is a very demanding activity. It therefore requires someone who is fully fit, healthy and strong. Many people raise eyebrows when the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, was vying for the presidency on the grounds of his health. Many people thought he did not not the physical strength to go through the rigorous activities the presidency will demand of him.
Nana Akuffo Addo however defiled all odds and engaged in a very serious campaign across the length and breath of the country. The president was active and pretty much involved in all the campaign activities leading to the 2016 General Elections at the age of seventy-two.
The president never showed any signs of stamina challenges in the discharge of his duties when he eventually won power in 2016. He was strong and energetic throughout his first term of office. He never shrink any responsibility on the grounds of lack of stamina.
Fast forward to 2020, the issue of Akuffo Addo's health came on board when he led his party for the fourth time into an election. He then turned seventy-six. But once again, he stood up to the occasion and delivered a very strong campaign, traveling all over the country.
He has proven age is just a number by looking forever young and fresh.
