
CapeCoast High Court has granted an interlocutory injunction against the Central Regional New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) election, slated for Friday, May 27th.
Ekumfi constituency New Patriotic Party executive aspirants have secured the injunction on the Central Regional Executive elections.
The aggrieved party members say the regional elections cannot come off since the ekumfi constituency has not yet conduct its elections to enable them take part in the friday’s regional elections in dunkwa-on-offin.
Their lawyers filed the application on Wednesday to stop the party from conducting elections to elect regional executives.
Robert kutin jnr, NPP Central regional chairman has confirmed the Postponment of the elections.
“Postponment of the central regional delegates conference scheduled to be held at dunkwa-on-offin on friday, 27th may, 2022 in view of the pending motion on notice for interlocutory injunction filed at the cape coast high court,”a statement by him said
Other NPP regional elections been scheduled for today .
