Rt Hon Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has finally react to the incident that happened in court yesterday. Yesterday in Parliament, questions that the Hon MP for the North Tongu Constituency was to ask the Finance Minister was missing from the House's agenda. The minority leader then informed the second deputy minister that the questions have been rescheduled to another date.
Following this, the speaker of the House has reacted to the decision of the minority leader. He blasted both the minority and the majority leader for absenting themselves from pre-sitting meeting. He noted that the the leaders of the House does not inform him on what will happen in the House. He further warned them to desist from what happened and also, they should never interfere when he is applying his rules.
"I might be very good at the practice and procedure but sometimes you have to be fair to the guidance of leadership and so please this is leadership. Take advantage of the pre-sitting meetings and let the Speaker know about what is happening. I don’t want what happened [on Thursday] to be repeated again and when I am applying my rules, I don’t want to hear objections".
