The member of Parliament for the Tamale North Constituency, Honorable Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has reiterated that, even at the age of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, he still sees everything as a competition.
Alhassan Suhuyini made this remark during a panel discussion the “Newday” show on TV3 today, December 13, 2021, with host Johnnie Hughes.
Since the implementation of the “Free Senior High School” policy, the President has “jealousy” defended the policy and even at a point in time, when the media were pointing out some challenges the policy face, they were criticized of trying all means to sabotage the policy.
Speaking over the weekend in the 70th Anniversary of the Tamale Senior High School, the President expressed satisfaction on how far the policy has come and that the policy was implemented without compromising quality.
Speaking on the matter, Honorable Alhassan Suhuyini was of the view that the President at his age is supposed to have a more sober, tolerant and open-minded posture but not act as if everything is a competition because it doesn’t always have to be about NPP and NDC but the nation.
” One would have thought that at his age, he would be more sober, tolerant and open-minded but it seems to me that he sees everything as a competition. He sees everything as a competition to win. At his age and with his experience, we expect him to be less competitive” he said.
Mr Suhuyini further reiterated that the President has failed when it comes to the fight against corruption but he has been “beating his chest in public” and boasting as though he has won over corruption.
