The South Dayi Member of Parliament, Rockson Dafeamekpor, has Bemoaned the reports that all deputy ministers vetted have been approved except for Egyapa Mercer. According to him, the sensationalism and the mischief by these reports are too much because the appointment committee hasn't approved any deputy minister nominee yet.
Rockson Dafeamekpor made this statement on 'Good Morning Ghana' on Metro television today, June 8th, 2021, when he lamented about the reports that Egyapa Mercer's approval has been deferred by the appointment committee.
According to Rockson Dafeamekpor, he doesn't think the vetting committee has made any decision yet, so the reports surrounding the vetting of Egyapa Mercer by reporters are mischievous.
"The Sensationalism and mischief by the reporters are too much. It is as if those who were vetted yesterday have been approved. The Vetting will continue today.
Egyapa Mercer's vetting yesterday and that of the others couldn't have been approved before today so, I have a big problem with the report as carried by the reporter." He said
He added that he doesn't believe that disagreeing with a colleague appointee is a basis for the committee to defer Egyapa Mercer's approval. So, the journalist should be mindful of how they report issues.
