Nana Ofori discloses the strategy that was supposed to be used for Ghanaians to accept and embrace the tax on electronic transactions, popularly known as E- Levy.
According to Nana Ofori, the strategy that was supposed to be used was to discuss the tax on electronic transactions (E- Levy) with the Ghanaians through constituency levels.
Nana Ofori said if that strategy was used, Ghanaians would have not rejected the E- Levy but rather embrace and accept it because Ghana is a democratic country, and anything concerning the country needs the attention of the Ghanaians.
Nana Ofori said the E- levy was not put before the parliament to seek the motion of the majority and minority whether they are for or against the tax on electronic transactions.
The tax on electronic transactions came up unexpectedly and that is why the Ghanaians rejected it so easily.
