OccupyGhana pleaded with the parliament to pass law which will limit military involvement in civilian policing. In reaction to this, Kelvin Taylor made reference to the happenings which occurred on the night of the election of the Speaker of Parliament when the military invaded the parliament house. According to Kelvin Taylor, nothing has been done about it and yet, the NDC leadership in Parliament had the audacity and effrontery to pass Dominic Nitiwul as Defence Minister despite these happenings. He stated that the opposition in parliament are more criminal than the government as they have regarded their current position as a money making venture.
"We were here when the military invaded the parliament and yet nothing has been done about it. The opposition in parliament agreed to pass Dominic Nitiwul as the Defense Minister. The opposition in Ghana is rather supporting the policies of this criminal government. The NPP know that when they bring a bill, they will get people like Haruna Iddrissu and Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka to pass it. The opposition in parliament are more criminal than the government itself. That is why Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu laughs when normal NDC members condemn him since he knows perfectly well that he can bribe them.", Kelvin Taylor said.
