Kevin Taylor was very furious after he learned that a news publication has been made about Africa Legal Associates had completed its engagement with Imara Corporate Finance of South Africa, for the monetization of gold royalties project which has been christened the Agyapa Royalties Deal. The broadcast journalist felt it was rather intimidating and dishonest of the government to have entertained such transactions in the 'shadows' despite the calls for the abrogation of that deal.
Kevin Taylor argued that his qualms are much with the Ghanaian people who voted for the Akufo Addo government, which in his view is robbing the state of its wealth. Kevin Taylor has had a long-standing disagreement with the government and especially with Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, whom he identified to have an interest in the legal firm facilitating negotiations; Africa Legal Associates (ALA).
He expressed his disappointment of the choice of leadership Ghanaians had taken even in the face of glaring evidence that the Agyapa Royalties Deal was smack with dubious deals. Kevin Taylor stressed that Ghanaians will live to regret this.
"Gabby's law firm, Africa Legal Associates is done with its work. You thought the deal was discarded? Think again. They are now going to show you some real deals and levels.
" I am disappointed in the over six million people that voted for President Akufo Addo. The Agyapa deal lurks and they are going to enrich themselves. You people will regret it," he lamented on his show, 'With All Due Respect'.
Kevin Taylor that the next four years will be marked with some serious setbacks and regrets that many would wish they never voted to retain the Akufo Addo government.
He mentioned that his rants are not just emotional but based on evidence, adding that he has nothing to lose if no one chooses to listen to his warnings.
"It is not about me. All that I am trying to get you to understand is that you don't fall into the same bad situation again. Think and seek for a change."
