See What Samira Bawumia Declared After Taking the Coronavirus Vaccine

President Akufo-Addo along with the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo got vaccinated with the Coronavirus Vaccine on Wednesday, on live Television. This was to show the public that the vaccine is safe for citizens to take.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and spouse, Samira Bawumia also got their dose of the vaccine at the 37 Military Hospital.

After the vaccination, Samira Bawumia took to her Facebook page to address her followers and the nation as a whole. This is what she shared on her page, unedited, in her own words.

"This morning, Vice President Bawumia and I took our first shots of the much-anticipated Covid-19 vaccine at the Police Hospital in Accra.

The Vaccine is expected to provide protection against moderate to severe Covid-19 symptoms and reduce viral load amongst infected persons. It is safe and effective.

We must continue, however, to wear our masks, wash our hands regularly and observe the social distancing protocol to reduce spread".

I believe she wishes to assure the public that, just as they are safe and healthy after taking the vaccine, citizens can also be assured of their safety.
