The member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu Constituency, Hon. John Jinapor has strongly questioned the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia for blaming Covid for the depreciating Ghanaian cedi. He revealed more secrets.

While speaking on News File On Joy News, Hon. John Jinapor boldly questioned Vice President Bawumia on his assertion that the cedi is depreciating because of Covid. This was when News File was reviewing the public lecture of Dr. Bawumia on the economy.

He went on to reveal that, the Ghanaian cedis is the worst performing in the world and that is because of Bawumia and this government's mismanagement of the economy.

" How can Bawumia have the audacity to look in our eyes and tell us our cedi is depreciating because of Covid? Covid-19 didn't only happen to Ghana. It affected every country in the world. So, how does Covid-19 affects only the Ghanaian cedi and not other currencies in the world?" He strongly questioned Dr. Bawumia and the NPP government.

Hon. John Jinapor continued his submission to reveal that " Bloomberg has said that the Ghanaian cedi is the worst performing currency in the world and that's a fact. The cedi is depreciating because of your mismanagement and because you have a very weak fundamental. That is what he should have accepted."
