You Cannot Tell The President What He Wants To Hear - Edudzi Tamakloe

NDC member Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, has spoken on the booing and heckling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Saturday, September 24, at the Global Citizens Festival in Accra.

But according to Mr. Edudzi, what happened to the President is a blatant indication that the populace is dissatisfied with the way he is running the nation.

The private attorney also advised those close to the president to inform him of the true state of circumstances in the nation so that he might act in the best interests of the populace.

On Monday, September 26, he said, "Unfortunate as the incident may be, I think that persons working around the president and the managers of the current economy need to begin to pick up some of these signals, especially persons within the National Security, on the New Day show with Johnnie Hughes on TV3.

"You cannot always tell the president what he wants to hear, the very moment a president closes his ears to all other things this is what you will have."

"This morning, with the greatest of respects, the Council of State members, they be bow down their heads, all the advisors of the president, they should bow down their heads. It is the kind of advise that they have been giving the president that is what has taken this country to the doldrums.”

During the event, Mr. Akufo-Addo gave a keynote speech while being jeered at by the audience. He discussed the efforts made by the Ghanaian administration to eradicate poverty and preserve the country's unity.
