Today, Paul Adom Otchere enlightened his viewers on the 1992 constitution. He explained that the 1992 constitution had its own demerits despite helping the country for close to 30 years. He disclosed that the constitution gave too much power to the President. He read the portion of the constitution that handed the mandate to the President to appoint almost all government appointees. Paul Adom Otchere disclosed that it was not done in any part of the world. Paul recounted how President Nana Addo appeared on the floor of Parliament to present the proposal that local authorities(DCEs, MCEs, Mayors) will be elected on a bi-partisan basis. Paul lamented on how out of nowhere, the minority who was in full support of that idea, go against it. He described such an act as "moribund" thinking. Paul Adom Otchere boldly declared that he had never seen any President who chose not to yield all these powers disposed to him by the constitution, but rather, delegate it to the Ghanaian populace. He stated that Ghana will never have such a President ever again.
