The late Ama Beniwa Doe, former Member of Parliament for Gomoa West Constituency from 1992 to 2004 and also former member of the Council of State was buried today at Gomoa Abora after she passed away in September 2021.
Mrs Ama Beniwa Doe passed away in the early hours of Sunday, September 19,2021 at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema after a short illness.
The funeral of this heroine in National Democratic Congress(NDC) and Ghana's politics saw a lot of big names especially from the National Democratic Congress being present to pay their last respect to the deceased and sympathize with her family.
The former President John Dramani Mahama, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and the famous General Secretary of the party, John Asiedu Nketiah were all present at the funeral today.
Also, the NDC Women's Commissioner, Dr Louisa Hannah Bissiw coupled with Tamale North Member of Parliament, Alhassan Suhuyini and other NDC Parliamentarians were all at Gomoa Abora to pay their last respect to the late Ama Beniwa Doe.
Relatives, sympathizers and mourners from far and near were present at Gomoa Abora in their numbers to wail and cry as well as pay their last respect to their heroine the late Ama Beniwa Doe.
Popular radio presenter and fire brand, Salifu Maase (also known as Mugabe) was also present at the funeral.
