China is a major African trade partner and lender. They have have been lending money to developing countries especially Africa.
With the recent borrowing from Chinese government by African leaders, the debt has increased drastically.
We bring to you the 10 most owed Africa country to China. It is estimated that 20 percent of Africa governments' external debt is owed to China.
The first country on the list is Angola. Angola is located in the southwestern part of Africa. Their current external debt to China is estimated at $22.8 billion.
Angola is the most second leading producing oil in Africa but their natural resource is going back to debt paying. It is also estimated that each citizen owes $754 to China.
Second on the list is Ethiopia which is located in the eastern part of Africa. Their eternal debt to China is estimated to be $13.7 billion
Third country on the list is Kenya. Kenya debt to China is estimated to be $7.9 billion. Their debt shows that the country could lose the Mombasa port to the China government.
Follow by Congo, Zambia , Cameroon and Nigeria. Nigeria owe China $2.6 billion at the end of 2019.
Ninth on the list is Ghana. Ghana is branded as one of the most fastest growing economy in globally. It is estimated that Ghana is owing Chinese government $3.5 billion.
The last tenth on the list is Democratic republic of Congo. Congo's extern debt to China is estimated to be $3.4 billion.
