245 Ghanaian have arrived at the kotoka international airport Terminal 3 after the Kuwait government spoke with the government of Ghana about bringing people who were of Ghanaian decent and went into the country seeking for greener pastures .
The Kuwait government with a chartered flight brought citizens back into the country yesterday afternoon in the Kuwait aircraft and has been checked and are currently been quarantined for 2 weeks to check for the availability or any symptoms of the corona virus .
Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who revealed the news of the coming whiles speaking at a press briefing when he was updating Ghanaian on the corona virus outbreak stated that all measures and safety precautions are been put in place for their coming
Oppong Nkrumah when speaking stated that the Kuwait Government had spoken with the Ghana Government asking for permission to bring back the nationals that were stuck in the country and needed to be brought back into the country.
"The Kuwait government has called for citizens of our country to be brought back via a chartered flight catered for by the Kuwait government and has asked for permission to bring them into the country " He said .
Ghana has been said to have closed all channels that led into the country in the bid to stop the spread of the virus and keep people safe from getting the virus but an exception was made which allowed for the deported Ghanaian to be allowed into the country via the flight.
Families of the just arrived are asked to stay away for now and wait for the necessary test and protocols to be done after which they would be allowed to get to their home .
A necessary Testing of everyone would begin after which all who test negative would be made to stay a compulsory 14 days quarantine as part of the set down rules to be able to detect if any has some .
