The continuous absence of the Finance Minister anytime he has to appear before the House to answer questions had become worrying.
This has pushed the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin to rule that until Ken Ofori-Atta comes to answer all the questions including the expenditure on the COVID-19 funds, the House will not also attend to any request from the Finance Ministry.
"Until he comes to respond to the question, and to submit the statement giving explanation as to how that money has been applied, we will not entertain any business from that Ministry. Mark my words".
This statement was made on Thursday June 16, when the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta once again failed to appear before the House to answer some 16 questions including how the COVID-19 funds was used.
The minority in parliament sees his continuous absence as disrespect to the House and also running away from his responsibilities but the majority on the other hand don't see it as such.
What do you also think, is Ken really shunning his responsibilities?
