Morning show host and broadcast journalist for Metro TV, Randy Abbey has told the New Patriotic Party representative, Bernard Okoe Boye on good morning Ghana show today, Thursday, 9th September 2021 that their government have done a terrible job when it comes to covid-19 antigen test at the airport.
Randy Abby said that government have done well in the medical aspect when negotiating with companies that would work at the airport but when it comes to the financial aspect, they performed badly.
He stated that before Government could make a deal with companies outside the country they must done enough research and know how it cost per what they are doing but the government of Ghana did not do that when Okoe Boye was trying to defend the NPP government over the pricing on the show.
Randy Abby told him that everybody knows that the technology antigen test is coming from South Korea and they have not done much on the cost per quarantining a covid suspect person at the airport.
From Randy Abbey point of view, Government have performed better despite doing a terrible job at pricing fee for people who are being quarantine at the airport when tested positive for covid.
" You don't do that when you are negotiating a deal. For the medical aspect government have done well but when it comes to the pricing your government have done a terrible job. When entering into such agreement, they could have asked from other sources to know the amount every company is taking everywhere. We all know the technology antigen test is coming from South Korea and that should not make it look differently when it comes to the pricing. Next time your Government should work on that to save money" he said on the show while Okoe Boye tries to make things clear to the general public.
