This morning on the Pan African TV morning show under the topic "India Corona virus crisis is a wake-up call to Africa", the member of Parliament for Sagnarigu Constituency in the northern Region has revealed that parliamentarians were asked to approve billions of dollars to fight the Corona virus pandemic.
He questions the government on its preparedness in tackling any rise in the fight against the pandemic. He said India is a country that many other countries were depending on for the covid-19 vaccines but unfortunately, India itself is engulfed by this disease. "This is because the president of India didn't take the virus serious just like president Trump"
Relating this to Ghana, the "man of proverbs" said least attention is paid to fight against Corona virus under president Akuffo Addo. Since contributions were made to support this fight. They, the parliatarians were even asked to approve billions of cedis for the fight against Corona virus.
He said with all these monies, the Government has not yet made any headway in the fight since we still have cases in our airports and other places and nothing is being done about it. He again mentioned that the government under Akuffo Addo has not been able to secure the correct vaccines for the disease but just importing nearly "expired vaccines" for Ghanaians. And this, he said is due to inadequate finding. And he asked where the monies are.
