Nana Akufo-Addo will be done with his services to the Nation right after his second term ends. I'm line with this, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have to select the next person to represent them in the next election which will be held on 7 December 2024 if God permits. The party in a press releases said the party have a tradition and therefore Alan Kojo Kyeremateng is the next the next person to contest for Presidency on the party's ticket.
It seems the party supporters do not support the so called tradition of the NPP so they have decided to choose their own flag bearer for the next election. According to polls witnessed on Facebook and other social media platforms, most of the supported want Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to be the next President for the Nation. They have cautioned the party that if they want to go into opposition, they should let Alan Kojo Kyeremateng be the flag bearer.
This comment from the NPP supporters tells a lot that Bawumia should be the next candidate for the presidential election on the ticket of the NPP so in my opinion, the party should let the vice president continue with the vision of his boss the President Akufo-Addo.
What do you also think? Between Bawumia and Alan Kojo Kyeremateng, whom do you think should be the flag bearer for the party in the next election. Drop your views in the comment box below and follow up for more information.
