At A Point, I led Students To Boycott Examinations and I wasn’t Victimized – Sammy Gyamfi

The Director of Communications for the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has revealed that; as an SRC President at the Ghana School of Law, he led the students to boycott an examination but he wasn’t victimized unlike how the current SRC president is being victimized by the Management of the Ghana School of Law, led by Maxwell Opoku Agyeman.

Sammy Gyamfi made this statement on ‘GOOD MORNING GHANA’ on Metro TV when he was reacting to the release by the management of the Ghana School of Law withdrawing the recognition of Philemon Laar as the SRC president for not being successful at ‘PLC part 1’ examination, thereby asking him to resign.

“for me, it is not just about Philemon, it raises a bigger issue about the adherence to due process and the rule of law by the officials of the Ghana School of Law and those who have oversight over that institution.

I have nothing against any management officer, I have nothing against the Director of the Ghana School of Law. He taught me Law of evidence and I have the utmost respect for him.

I am surprised this is happening under the watch of Maxwell Opoku Agyeman because we never saw this happened under the watch of the former Director of the Ghana School of Law.

I had a cordial relationship with the Director of the Ghana School of Law at that time. Am sure I erred and stepped on toes but he always calls me to his office and advises me on what I should have done. At some point, I had to even led students to boycott an examination and it was a major issue.

But he will always call me and advise that I could’ve gone with it a different way and all that. I was not victimized.” - He revealed
