The popularly known Ghanaian politician and member of parliament of Ningo-Prampram on the ticket of the largest opposition party, NDC has recently sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms after he brilliantly revealed why the anti-LGBT bill will not be rejected by parliament.
Even though there has been lots of arguments concerning the legalization of same-sex relationships and marriages by some prominent members of parliament and Ghanaians as whole, recent revelation by the popularly known Ghanaian politician had proven otherwise considering how he brilliantly revealed how the anti-LGBT bill may be legalized and not rejected just like the most anticipated 2022 budget in parliament.
Speaking at the most anticipated meeting with the constitutional, legal and parliamentary affairs committee today, November 29, 2021, Sam George took the privilege to reveal that, Ghana wasn’t a secular nation and so therefore, all the anti-LGBT Bill is seeking for is to promote proper human sexual rights and Ghanaian family values.
“We are very confident that Ghana is not a secular state; Ghana is a pluralistically religious state and we cannot allow homosexual activities”, Sam George emphatically revealed.
In other to support his claims, the member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George took the privilege to throw more light on his previous point whilst using the religious doctrines including prayers and the national anthem as his references.
“Mr Chairman, before we started this meeting you asked for prayer either a Christian, Muslim or traditionalist prayer we accept different religions but we are a nation that respects God and He has a place in our nation. Our national anthem is a prayer that starts with God so nobody should call us a secular state”, Sam George emphatically added.
From the above arguments raised by Honorable Sam George, we can clearly notice that the a anti-LGBT bill will likely be passed in parliament as claimed by the popularly known Ghanaian politician even though some individuals might agree otherwise.
Do you think that, the Anti-LGBT bill will be passed in parliament as claimed by Sam George even though most individuals claim otherwise?
