Felix Kwakye Ofosu, former Deputy Information Minister in the John Dramani Mahama administration, has claimed that the Electoral Commission is attempting to compile a new voters register for the 2024 elections using the Ghana card as the only form of identification.
According to him, this comes just two years after the Commission spent more than $80 million on a totally needless new voters registration system for the 2020 elections.
The "object, of course, is to manipulate that register in order to save the blushes of this hopeless government, which is destined to be thrown out by the electorate in 2024," he claimed.
Below is his Facebook post
The electoral commission is yet to respond to his claims, as most Ghanaians won't be happy with it if it's true looking at the current economic hardship in the country.
