Today happened to be one of the sad days for the Vice President and his family as well as the entire country after the saddened death of the mother of the Vice President hit the entire country. His excellency Dr. Muhamadu Bawumiah sadly lost his mother at Accra in the early hours and has been saddened by this as Ghanaians mourn with him.
Death is one of the things we can’t run away from as humans and that’s because there has not been any occasion where a person has come to this earth and outlived any other person or successfully beaten death.
According to reports, this was a calling by the maker and not due to any form of chronic or acute disease as we have heard so far. The late mother of the Vice President has brought tears to many who loved her even though they strongly believe that she is going to rest in the bosom of the Lord. Reports indicate that she had a special bond or connection with her son whom she loved dearly. She was also not much of the politician type like we see her son to be but rather, a mother for all.
Hajia Mariama Bawumiah passed on in a way that many least expected but as said earlier, this is a glorious calling and one that we need to deal with and see the family through. Ghanaians are in tears for the passing of this wonderful woman.
Many have shown concerns and have sent their condolences to the families. The immediate former president Mahama and the current president Nana Addo have all shown concern and made some very powerful statements as they wish her farewell.
We hope to see some good news about the current state of the families of the deceased. It’s our wish that the Vice President stays strong.
