NPP Did 97% But NDC Did Zero– John Boadu Jabs NDC Party Again

Speaking at a Upper West Regional Annual Delegates Conference held on Sunday, October 3, the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr John Boadu has said that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has contributed absolutely nothing to the socioeconomic development of the country.

According to him, the New Patriotic Party government led by the Former President John Agyekum Kufour and the incumbent President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, has come out with about 97 percent of the various social intervention programs enjoyed in the country whilst the contributions of the NDC is very insignificant, if not zero.

"The various social intervention programs enjoyed in our country today can all be credited to the NPP government. And they are obvious—the free Senior High School policy, one district one factory (1D1F) initiative, the nation builders corps (NABCo), one village one damn, school feeding programme, the national health insurance scheme and many other interventions are all works done and are being undertaken by the government," he stated.

"The opposition NDC on the other hand has contributed nothing to the good people of this country. Sometimes you ask yourself, so what all does the NDC do when they come to office? I think what they do rather is to stop whatever the NPP has started. The 'National Destructive Party' is the name that best suit them. I can site several examples of they destroying some of the good interventions initiated by former President John Agyekum Kufour," he added.

He went ahead to urge Ghanaians to try as much as possible to break the eight years period of government. According to him, if an opportunity is given to the NDC again, they would once again slow down the rate of development that is being spearheaded by the Akuffo-Addo and Bawumia led NPP government.

He encouraged the supporters of the NPP to put in more efforts to ensure that the eight years electoral cycle is broken and that not a single opportunity is given to the NDC to destroy the good works they are pursuing.

"These are the reasons why as a party we need to break our backs to make sure that the achievements and the gains that the President has chalked over the 5 years is not destroyed by the ‘National Destruction Party’. It is important that we do that, because if we do not, we will go back to the same problems," h stated.
