Popular Ghanaian broadcast journalist and host of the Onua Maakye show has replied all his critics on today's episode of the show. The media guru has indicated that the western Regional Minister, Honourable Kobena cannot sue him until he is able to prove to Ghanaians who he paid the alleged 3000 cedis ransom to.
Captain Smart's comment follows after speculations hit social media that the Regional Minister is planning on suing him over his comment on the fake Tadi pregnancy and kidnapping brouhaha. Pressure was mounted on Captain Smart to render an unqualified apology to the Minister for defamation.
However, it seems Captain Smart came prepared as he has used the Minister's own statement to backfire him. According to Captain Smart, a meeting was held by Honourable Kwabena Okyere Darko to plan his attack against him, but an insider within the meeting gave him all the information even before the meeting ended.
Speaking further, Captain Smart questioned the Minister over who he paid the alleged 3000 cedis ransom fee to after he claimed the lady was never kidnapped. He indicated that he cannot be sued as long as the Minister fails to prove to Ghanaians what actually happened to the money he paid to some 'kidnappers.'
He said, "I heard whatever happened in your meeting. You met some people to plan how to sue me because I said you're lying about the issue. If the woman was not kidnapped, then who did you pay the money to as ransom? If you're able to tell Ghanaians where the 3000 cedis you paid is then you can proceed to sue me."
He added, "I make sure I have evidence before I speak on any issue. This is my simple question to you to show all Ghanaians where the money is. Do not be a coward, come out and vindicate yourself."
