NDC'S Ama Benyiwa-Doe (Chavez) Is Dead
She passed away this morning at the age of 72.
She was christened Comfort Saah and comes from Gomoa West in the Central Region of Ghana.
She was a Legislature and Former Central Regional Minister Under The Atta-Mills government.
Ama Benyiwa-Doe represented the people of Gomoa West Constituency in the Central Region from 1992 until she defeated by Joe Kingsley Hackman in the 2004 elections.
She served as the party's national women's organizer from 2004 to 2009 when she was appointed as Central Regional Minister in 2009 under the Professor John Evans Atta-Mills government ..
The maverick politician was wide spoken against the John Agyekum Kuffour'Government.
Her voice was a regular feature on Peace Fm Kokrokoo program hosted by Kwame Sefa Kayi where she was always paired with Abdul Kwaku Baak Jnr, Managing Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper.
She went behind the scene after 2012 elections which people believed was because of poor health.
