Majority Leader Chides Adwoa Safo Over Her Recent Statement

Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has questioned Adwoa Safo’s commitment to the constituents of Dome-Kwabenya.

In a letter to President Akuffo-Addo, after handing over as Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister following her sack, Adwoa Safo said the new development will help her concentrate fully to the needs of residents of the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency.

However, reacting to this the Majority Leader who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Suame, says he wonders when it is donned on Adwoa Safo that she has constituents to attend to.

“My niece has spoken but I want to know whether she just realized she had work to do in her constituency. We are here because she smirked at her responsibilities for a year and never attended to them. I will end here so that we see what happens tomorrow. I can’t say much,” he said.

Meanwhile, Parliament is deliberating on a report laid before the house by the privileges committee which has found Adwoa Safo to have absented herself for more than 15 days from parliamentary sittings, against the regulations of the house.

It’s also being reported that Parliament had informed the Electoral Commission that her seat is vacant.

This was after she failed to honour the invitation of the Privileges Committee of Parliament.
