The all-important and hyped Fix the country demonstration was scheduled to come off today in London in the United Kingdom. It can be recalled that the second term of presidency of Akufo-Addo has faced so much criticism few months after its start. Called for the fixing of the country, the wildfire spread and caught the hearts of many. Even the government took notice of them.
The fire caught Ghanaians living in Spain who organized a demonstration and spoke against the difficulties in Ghana. Today, Friday, July 30, 2021 the demonstration hit the UK. However, it wasn’t as successful as the one in Spain.
Instead supporters of the NPP and President Nana Akufo-Addo stormed the place opposite the demonstration venue and with chanting voices out sang the Fix the country protestors. Singing, “Nana Addo has done it”, they applauded the president for the good job he is doing and called on Ghanaians to keep supporting the president to develop the country.
It was a sorry sight to behold as the Fix the country protestors stood still and watched their rivals chant and sing.
The Fix the country Demonstration in Ghana is expected to come out this Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Ghana. many expect a heavy turnout as opposed to the UK version. It is unclear why many Ghanaians did not attend but for now it seems they have been overpowered by the numerous Nana Addo supporters at the venue.
