A Prove Letter of Paul Adom-Otchere's Appointment as GACL.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has nominated renowned Broadcaster Paul Adom-Otchere as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Ghana Airport Company Limited.

Other members on the Board are Managing Director of GACL – Yaw Kwakwa, Mr Teye Adjirackor – President’s nominee, Kwabena Nyarko Jectey Nyarko, -President’s nomination, Philomina Sam -President’s nominee, Francis Kofi Nunoo – Ministry of Transport and Grp. Cpt. Gervase Wienaa – Ghana Airforce.

Before his current position, he served as a member of the National Communication Authority from 2017 to date Paul Adom-Otchere is the host of the popular show, 'Good Evening Ghana' on Metro TV. The show takes on board politicians and other stakeholders who offer their opinions on growing concerns in the country. The prominent journalist in recent times has been accused of utilizing his platform to castigate some individuals while promoting the efforts of the governing party.

A recent incident was when he unleashed a torrent of insults on the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress and investigative journalist Manasseh Azure during his broadcast.

Adom-Otchere in a usual way questioned the investigating modus operandi of Manasseh.“This journalism of I catch you, I catch you, I catch you, is not journalism. Journalism is an intellectual and scholarly exercise,” Adom-Otchere remarked. He further stated that Asiedu chose to be a witness in the 2020 election so he could be a national here but failed to do so.

“The reason why Asiedu Nketia went to court as a star witness is that he felt he will be able to take advantage of what happened in 2013 when Dr Bawumia was the star witness and became a national hero. That’s what he was searching for,” Paul Adom-Otchere remarked.

He said, “he [Asiedu Nketia] gets to court and he speaks palm wine stuff. When you are grabbing at the straw in court like Asiedu Nketia was, how they describe it and the way they informed us at the University of Ghana Law Faculty is that it’s palm wine talk.”

These drew a lot of comments on social media as many disputed his opinions on Asiedu Nketia and Manasseh Azure.
