The Tertiary Educational Confederacy Of the New Patriotic Party TESCON's President Mr. Sayiby Afa Yaba was reportedly arrested by the Ghana Police Service over his disrespectful claims. According to him, the Northern Regional Minister refused to take his bath before meeting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo at the Tamale airport.
After the post on social media, Mr. Sayiby Afa Yaba was arrested deep in the night by the Police. His arrest was widely condemned by the Student Representative Council of the Tamale Technical University.
Before filing this report, it was unclear about the exact charges pressed on the TESCON President. Perhaps, publication of fake news.
What will trigger a young man to disrespect his elders in that unacceptable manner? Freedom of speech doesn't guarantee unnecessary lies and trolling of those in power. It's my prayer that the young man is made to prove his statement. If he fails, the necessary sanction should be applied on him.
Such a disrespectful character who can't utter same words against his father who may not have the achievement of the Regional Minister.
