For what political watchers within the rank and file of the Western North Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party described it as a deliberate attempt by the Npp government not to share the national cake equally in terms of appointment making in the region, a pro- pressure group in the party has raised a red flag against the government.
The pressure group dubbed, Movement For Justice And Equal Rights, a pressure group within the New Patriotic Party in the Western North Region says government seems to sound discriminative in appointment sharing within the regions of the country so far as Western North Region is concerned.
In an Interview with the National President for the Movement, Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman after a press conference over the weekend, the Movement expressed disappointment that though the Region played a crucial role towards the victory of the party, but critical probe has it that no single appointment of Chief Executive Officer's rank have been made thereby thwarting the progress of the region.
Such neglect, the Movement For Justice And Equal Rights noted, smacks the suspicion that government hardly recognize the role played by the region to sustain the economy.
On the basis of the foregoing, the National President for the Movement, Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman who also doubles as the Regional Vice Chairman for the Npp underscored that his outfit has decided to sign an agreement with any incoming presidential candidate of the Npp who may be ready to share equal appointments with the region when power is transferred to him, before the region could cast their votes in the 2024 general elections.
Seaman indicated that the region equally have graduates and qualified people who can work judiciously to uplift the country just like others in the regions, and accordingly appealed humbly to His Excellency, President Nana Akuffo Addo to take their issue seriously to ensure that the region votes massively towards resounding victory of the party in the in the 2024 general elections.
