Kevin Taylor on his show on LoudSilence TV today said, President Akuffo-Addo had said during the National dialogue on small scale mining that it is time to rejuvenate our country's lands and that we don't need foreigners to campaign for the protection of our Ghanaian land, our inheritance. And he made it clear that he's determined to enforce laws on illegal mining.
Nana Akufo-Addo can say this over and over again, he cannot fight properly against illegal mining if he does not deal with his own party members who engaged in this activities.
As at now, Ekow Ewusii, Prof. Frimpong Boateng, Charles Bisiaw, who were reported to have involved in illegal mining (Galamsey) activities has not been called to order and prosecuted, still Nana Akufo-Addo continue to preach the gospel about fighting illegal mining.
Nana Akufo-Addo cannot fight galamsey if he continue to protect his party members and arrest other people.
According to Kevin, the fight can only be successful if Nana Akuffo-Addo act as President of Ghana and not for only his party to be able to go and line up all those desecrating our water bodies and our mineral rich lands in the name of galamsey including his NPP Galamsey Gurus.
The president, unfortunately cannot and will not be able to fight his own people. The group which is being formed is just going to be meeting to enjoy allowances till a positive stand is taken by the people themselves, he alleges.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo never ceases to amaze me. In 2017, he started this same populist Galamsey agenda only for us to see his party faithfuls taking over the Galamsey industry.
Fast forward, he has started another grand scheme to go for the second face of this looting brigade. This so called Galamsey seminar is dead on arrival. We must get serious as a nation, Kevin Taylor finally lamented.
