No nefarious conspiracies against the party would succeed, according to the general secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua.
The party will remain strong and overcome its obstacles.
While 2022 was a difficult year, he (Justin Frimpong Kodua) predicted that 2023 would be better and people's economic circumstances will improve.
At a Thanksgiving service conducted at the NPP's Accra headquarters, the lawyer predicted that the party would overcome its difficulties.
He cited Psalm 91:7, which states that 1,000 people will fall by our side and 10,000 by our right side, and no harm would befall us, to bolster his argument.
“Any evil plots of the devil should be behind us in the coming year. We are asking God to make 2023 a blessed year. We hope that the cedi will continue to rise against the US dollar in 2023.”
”We are optimistic the economy will rebound in 2023. We will witness the restoration of the economy. Things would be better in 2023, he stressed.
The last Wednesday of the month in 2023 has been set aside by the party as a day of prayer, on which members are required to pray for the party.
”God willing, from next year, we have set aside the last Wednesday of every month to pray and thank God. We will not ask him anything but to say thank you.”
