FEAR DELEGATES - NPP National Annual Delegates Conference 2022 Begins Today, July 15.

“Pursuant to Section 17(2) of the Political Parties Law, Act 574, which provides that the election of National, Regional, and Constituency Officers of every political party shall be conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Commission, the National Elections shall be supervised by the Electoral Commission of Ghana."

This was a statement signed by Mr John Boadu, the General Secretary of the NPP on Tuesday, regarding the widely anticipated NPP national annual delegates conference which, he said, would be held from July 15 to July 17, 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Executive positions to be keenly contested in the three-day conference are the Chairman, First and Second Vice Chairpersons, General Secretary, Treasurer, National Organiser, Women Organiser, Youth Organiser and Nasara Co-ordinator.

Interestingly, three stalwarts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP ) - Stephen Ayesu Ntim, George Kwabena Abankwah-Yeboah and Stephen Asamoah Boateng - have emerged as the front runners in the race for the party’s National Chairman.

other four candidates - Akwasi Osei-Adjei, Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi,Sammy Crabbe, and Gifty Asantewa Ayeh (Daavi Ama), are not taking any chances and could surprise voters given the complexities of such elections.

After moving across the lengths and breadths of the country on various platforms to share their visions for the party with the delegates, its now time for the forty-six 'cleared' aspirants It is now time for them to know their fates and how well their messages resonated with delegates.

We wish them the best of luck!
