Today, former President John Dramani Mahama and his team stormed the Eastern region to continue with their thanksgiving tour. As part of the tour, they visited Sunrise FM to address the media and the Eastern region populace. Asiedu Nketsia made a bold declaration during the interview. He disclosed that Eastern Region was one of the regions they expected to win in the 2020 elections. He stated that although they did not win the region, their votes increased massively and that alone was enough for them.
He added that Ghanaians must remove that perception that the Eastern region is for the NPP. According to him, the NDC had won the region in this fourth republic before. He expressed hope that the NDC will secure 50 percent of the votes or more than that in 2024. These were the final words he left with them.
"Mark it. NDC will win Eastern Region in 2024".
