Report The Truth To Save Election Violence - Apostle Nyamekye

Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Kwabina Nyamekye has advised the media to report the truth in other to ensure a peaceful election.

Apostle Nyamekye advised journalist to consider their reputation first instead of their selfish interest within this short political season.

The church held a workshop today,November 20, for Journalists in the Pentecost media to prepare them ahead of the general elections in December.

"In times like this, most journalist tell themselves that political season is our cocoa season, where they can make a lot of money. They set agenda in their reportage but remember good name is better the riches.We should love reporting the truth than money because it may negatively affect your reputation." He counseled

Moreover, the chairman urged reporters to report nothing but the truth. However, they should know "when and where to say it".

"Truth is very difficult to say because people may attack you. But with the truth know when and were to say it because our words destroys or promote our image as a journalist." He cautioned

Ghanaians are 17 (seventeen) days away to vote and elect leaders to govern the country for the next four years.
